SAN DIEGO – The Celeste apartments in the the former Consulate Hotel and set for completion in March, while the fate of plans to reuse the former Imperial House appears unclear.

Two notable residential conversion in Point Loma that were slated for openings this year seemingly are headed in opposite directions.

Ambient Communities says it is putting the finishing touches on its redevelopment of the former Consultate Hotel at 2901 Nimitz Blv. into the Celeste apartment project and anticipates completion in March, with move-ins beginning as early as February.
